LISA OLIVER: Hi, I’m Lisa Oliver – chair, president, and CEO of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod. What a year it’s been! Thanks to all of your support – we reached a significant milestone: Our 100th anniversary. Since our founding in 1921, The Coop has been an integral part of life on Cape Cod. We’ve grown as the Cape has grown, and our evolution continues as we change to meet new needs and to better serve our clients and communities.
Through it all, we’ve stayed focused on our clients and our community. When you bank with us, you’re banking with a friend.
As an active member of our community, we’ve always given back – partnering with local nonprofit organizations and engaging by rolling up our sleeves to volunteer.
In the past year, the Bank has given $400,000 to local nonprofits. That includes $100,000 in honor of our 100th anniversary to help 37 nonprofit organizations across the Cape. Two of those nonprofits – Calmer Choice and Cape Cod Children’s Place – are using the grant money to help children and their caregivers affected by trauma. During the pandemic, the need for mental health therapies has nearly doubled.
Calmer Choice and Cape Cod Children’s Place have developed tailor-made programs focused on promoting resilience and mindful awareness. We’re committed to helping make the Cape a great place to live and work, and we’re proud to be your community bank.
We understand how important it is to listen and be a trusted advisor to our clients, from your first savings account to retirement and everything in between. We’re here for you.
This year, our residential mortgage team worked with more than 800 households on their dream home. That includes saving money by refinancing, building a new home, tapping into their home equity to renovate, and buying their ideal house.
As the bank for small business – all business – our team served and guided more than one-thousand business owners through the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program, which injected about one-hundred seventeen million into our local economy. Keeping our friends and neighbors employed and businesses open.
These businesses are the backbone of our economy, making the Cape such a special place. And behind them are entrepreneurs who have big dreams, and we’re here to support those dreams.
From all of us at The Coop, thank you for a wonderful year! We wish you a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season. We look forward to the New Year and new opportunities with you!
