Lee Ann Hesse joined The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod in 2013 and is the Executive Vice President and Chief Engagement Officer and Community Reinvestment Officer. In this role she is responsible for the engagement of employees through oversight of all Human Resource functions; client engagement through marketing and public relations; and community engagement through oversight of the bank’s philanthropic programs. As the CRA Officer, she advocates for The Coop’s employee volunteerism and promotes supporting philanthropy partnerships with our community.
Lee Ann has worked in Banking and Financial Services for more than 20 years and began her career in Boston at Scudder Stevens and Clark as a Registered Representative and Corporate Training Specialist. Upon moving to the Cape in the early 1990’s she was the Operations Manager and Treasurer of the CCB&T Investment Company and subsequently the Director of Human Resources with the former Cape Cod Bank & Trust Company. Prior to joining The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod she served as Vice President of Human Resources at the de novo Bank of Cape Cod, a post she held for seven years.
Lee Ann is active in the community including serving as a Board Member of the JFK Hyannis Museum and of the Cape Arts and Entertainment (Cape Cod Symphony and Cape Cod Conservatory) and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She is a past Board President of the Barnstable Land Trust and serves as a current member of that organization’s Governance Committee. She is a past Member of the YMCA Cape Cod Human Resources Advisory Committee, the Barnstable-West Barnstable School Council and the Workforce Investment Board.
Lee Ann is a graduate of Bates College and the New England School of Financial Studies. A native of Maine, she lives with her husband in West Barnstable.
