Ted Snook has enjoyed life on Cape Cod for 36 years and has spent his entire life as a Massachusetts native. A graduate from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Ted started with The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod in 1978 as a teller at the Yarmouth Port office. Ted found early on in his career that he most enjoyed the personal side of banking and views customer service as his highest priority which has always paralleled the Bank’s philosophy. The valued relationships that he has built with his customers are time-tested with trust and commitment.
Over the years, Ted has held many positions throughout The Coop, including Customer Service Representative and Assistant Branch Manager of the West Barnstable branch early in his career, and later as Vice President and Branch Manager at both the West Barnstable and East Dennis offices. Currently the Branch Manager at the Bank’s West Barnstable location, Ted has been the main internal contact for suspected elder financial abuse victims. With elder financial abuse on the rise, Ted is devoted to helping customers when questionable situations occur.
In addition to his work at the Bank, Ted has been an active member of the board and Treasurer of the Whelden Memorial Library in West Barnstable, a member of The Northside Business Association, a coach for the Dennis-Yarmouth Youth Baseball, and served as a board member and Treasurer of the Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands, among other volunteer activities. He has also represented the Bank as a member of Business Network International (BNI), and has been a Notary Public for the state of Massachusetts for 35 years.
Ted is immensely proud of the Bank’s dedication to our local communities and the commitment to providing superior service to our customers. The banking industry as a whole has changed over the years and Ted has been part of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod as it has grown. Ted and his wife Jodi enjoy fishing and hiking in their spare time, and he’s a life-long fan of the Boston Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics and New England Patriots.
