The Coop partners with Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce

20 minute Tuesdays

Wendy Northcross, Peter Rice, and James Quitadamo are in the inaugural Twenty Minute Tuesday episode.

The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod in partnership with the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the launch of “Twenty-Minute Tuesdays” – a monthly online Q&A video series that will give local businesses and nonprofit organizations access to the Bank’s expert team.

The online video series will begin on November 17, 2020, and be released on rotating Tuesdays each month. The series will be pre-recorded and moderated in a question-and-answer format, featuring bank experts addressing questions on the topic of the month.

The inaugural Twenty Minute Tuesday will focus on the Small Business Association’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loan Forgiveness process and feature The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod’s Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Banking Officer, Peter Rice, and Senior Vice President Chief Credit Officer, James Quitadamo, answering questions on how to best navigate the process. Each Q&A session, which will be prerecorded, can be viewed on the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce landing page

Local business owners or representatives of nonprofit organizations who would like to submit questions in advance can be done via the Chamber’s landing page.

“For many small businesses who received a PPP loan, at the top of their list of questions has been: what is latest on calculating loan forgiveness and what are the prospects for those businesses who received PPP funds of less than $150,000 getting total forgiveness? These and other related questions will be addressed in the first forum,” Bank Chair, President & CEO Lisa Oliver said.

Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce CEO Wendy Northcross said Twenty Minute Tuesdays will focus on questions pertinent to the unique aspects of Cape Cod’s seasonal economy and will provide insights on how local businesses and non-profit organizations can navigate the challenges of operating during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Businesses and nonprofits across the state and nation are hungry for knowledge on how to survive and thrive in this era. However, each local economy is different with a unique set of challenges and opportunities,” Northcross said. “We wanted to design this to address the specific economic situation here on Cape Cod and are thrilled to partner with The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod who has been a leader in helping small businesses and non-profits find a way forward.”

Other topics slated to be the future focus of Twenty Minute Tuesday include:

  • We want to close our business for the winter – what now?
  • Is now the time to apply for a COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) loan?
  • A new year, a fresh start – what do I do differently?
  • What is the next “big thing” for commercial and business interest on the Cape?
