The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod and the non-profit Luke Vincent Powers Foundation are teaming up to collect Valentines for the community of Sandy Hook Elementary School. Stop by any of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod’s branches now through Valentine’s Day and leave a special note for the students and staff at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
At each of their six full service branches, Valentine’s cards are available for Cape Codders to write sentiments to the students and staff of Sandy Hook Elementary School. There are heart shaped cards available to fill out and drop in a special mail box in the branch lobby. Donation envelopes are also available for anyone who wants to contribute to the special fund set up to support the families of the tragedy. Checks should be made payable to Luke’s Love.
The cards will be sent to Sandy Hook on February 14. Following Valentine’s Day, Luke’s Love will forward all of the donations to the Sandy Hook charitable fund. Luke’s Love is a Cape-based organization whose mission is to provide opportunities for disadvantaged children everywhere by funding programs that enhance and protect their lives.
