The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod recently hired Lee Ann Hesse of West Barnstable as Vice President and Human Resources Officer. In her role, she will oversee the personnel functions and policies of the community bank, including recruiting, organizational development, training, and compensation and incentives.
Hesse brings two decades of experience in the fields of human resources and finances. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Human Resources at the Bank of Cape Cod, a post she held for seven years. She’s also held roles at Cape Cod Bank & Trust Company and as an independent human resources consultant.

Hesse lives with her husband and two sons in West Barnstable. She’s very active in community programs, including the Barnstable Land Trust, where she serves as President of the Board since 2011, the YMCA Cape Cod Human Resources Advisory Committee, and the Community Leadership Institute. She is also a past member of the Barnstable-West Barnstable School Council and the Workforce Investment Board.
Hesse is a graduate of Bates College and the School of Financial Studies at the Massachusetts Bankers Association.
