John Fulone, Senior Vice President and Chief Planning and Operations Officer with The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, has accepted an appointment on the American Bankers Association (ABA) Mutual Institutions Council. ABA is located in Washington, DC and serves as a resource for our nation’s banking industry.
Fulone joined The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod in 2011. He has nearly three decades of banking experience, including posts at Citizens Financial Group and BayBank/BankBoston. Fulone received his BA in Biology from Assumption College in Worcester, MA. He is a graduate of The Strategy and Service Excellence Program administered through the Harvard Business School of Executive Education. He is past Treasurer of the Mashpee Boosters Club and is a Board Member for The Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod and The Cape Cod Children’s Museum. Fulone is also a Corporator for Heritage Museums and Gardens.
The purpose of the ABA Mutual Institutions Council is to address issues of particular interest to mutually chartered financial institutions and to provide a forum for the discussion and development of legislative and regulatory recommendations and actions. The Council is the voice of mutuality in the ABA policy and product development process.
