Our employees and customers helped local children have a brighter holiday by bringing unwrapped toys and gift cards to our branches for the 9th annual Stuff a Stocking Toy Drive. On Dec. 17, Coop President and CEO Lisa Oliver had the pleasure of delivering hundreds of toys, gift cards, and supplies to The Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod in Mashpee. The items were distributed to families in need or used to support the club’s programming.

“It’s heartening to see our employees and customers embrace the spirit of giving with such enthusiasm and generosity,” said Oliver. “While we strive to give back to the community year-round, the holiday season is a time when many of our friends and neighbors need a little extra help.  These wonderful programs will make the holiday season a little lighter and brighter for a broad spectrum of Cape Codders.”

Coop employees gathered around decorated Christmas Tree surrounded by wrapped gifts for seniors in our community.

Coop employees shopped for local seniors through Home Instead Senior Care’s annual program, Be a Santa to a Senior.

#CharityJeansDay

In 2019, our employees have raised more than $20,000 through employee-managed #CharityJeansDay Program. For the past 10 years, our employees have supported local nonprofit organizations in our community by wearing jeans at work.

Every other Friday, employees donate a minimum of $5, and an organization is designated as the beneficiary. The organizations are nominated by employees and selected by the employee-based Jeans Day committee. The only criteria for nominations is that the organization be affiliated with Cape Cod and a registered 501(c)3.

This holiday season, our employees have nominated the following holiday community programs:

The Salvation Army logo, red shield.

Cartoon of santa claus head and elderly lady opening a gift

Toys for Tots logo, red train
